World AIDS Day was established by the World Health Organization (WHO) on 1 December HVI is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. On 1 December, "World AIDS Day" is celebrated around the world to raise awareness. On 1 December 2023, WHO, together with partners and communities around the world, will celebrate World AIDS Day in Geneva, HVI headquarters in Switzerland. The full name of HVI is "Humane deficiency virus"


The theme of this year's World AIDS Day is ''Let Communities Lead', and is much more than a celebration of the achievements of communities, it is a call to communities in their leadership roles."




World AIDS Day 2023 in Geneva
Celebrate today from about 10 a.m. to 11 p.m WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus Public Health Milestones on HIV and AIDS in the Context of the WHO 75th Anniversary: Dr Jerome Salmon, Assistant Director-General, Universal Health Coverage/Eliminating the Stigma Associated with Infectious and Non-Infectious Viruses and contributes to the broader goal of building a supportive global community and will provide awareness-raising feedback.


On "World AIDS Day" on 1 December 2023, the WHO Regional Office for Africa joined UNAIDS Executive Director Winnie Bayanima in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, as well as government leaders and officials of the HIV response in Zimbabwe of the many people who have lost their lives to the AIDS deadly disease participate in the commemoration and in the afternoon they will visit in community-led initiatives that enable key populations to access services.WHO will play a major role in the conference.



HIV 22nd Conference for World AIDS Day in Zimbabwe Africa’s largest ICASA will be held from 4 to 9 December in Harare. WHO will play a major role in the conference, including hosting 10 satellite sessions at the launch and engaging with people living with the deadly disease HIV attending the conference.


Nowadays, modern science and technology
Despite significant progress, HIV/AIDS remains or remains a global health challenge. According to the latest statistics, millions of people around the world are living with HIV, with new infections reported annually.


In order to fight HIV/AIDS, we must first focus on raising our awareness. To this end, disseminating accurate information , raising awareness related to the virus encourages access to testing, early diagnosis, and treatment, which are important components of managing and controlling the spread of HIV.


World AIDS Day was established by the World Health Organization (WHO) on 1 December December 1 has been chosen as an important day to honor those who have lost their lives to HVI.
