On Friday, November 24, 2023, Hyundai Motor Company signed a research and development agreement with University College London (UCL) for joint research on clean carbon future technologies for hydrogen production, hydrogen fuel, and electrification technologies.

    University College London (UCL) and Hyundai Motor Company have signed an agreement to collaborate on carbon-free future technologies.





Hyundai Motor Company signed the MoU with University College London. The MoU ceremony took place ahead of the UK-Korea Business Forum. The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Dong-Wook Kim, Executive Vice President, of Hyundai Motor Co.; Dr. Michael Spence, President and Provost of UCL, Moon-Kyu Beng, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Energy of South Korea; and Nigel Huddleston, UK Secretary of State for International Trade; There are also government officials from both countries. I hope that the joint cooperation of this agreement will contribute to achieving carbon neutrality in the transport sector and create a pollution-free environment.




UCL is a research-oriented institution at the top of the global university rankings. and has produced dozens of Nobel Prize and Fields Medal winners. has strengthened its ability to establish its Advanced Propulsion Lab in 2023 through automotive electrification research.
